Art Odyssey Arizona brings together passionate and dedicated volunteers and fully trains and prepares them to encourage students to use observational, analytical, and public speaking skills to explore and interact with art.
Director of Operations
Leslie is a docent at the Phoenix Art Museum and has helped lead Art Masterpiece Programs in the Scottsdale school district for over ten years. Prior to becoming involved with Art Odyssey Arizona, she was a lawyer working for various non-profit organizations. Her favorite artists are Henri Matisse, Vincent Van Gogh and Louisa McElwain.
Director of Education
Geneva is a teacher with a love and passion for art. She has volunteered at numerous art organizations in Arizona and is currently a docent at the Phoenix Art Museum. She loves theater and music and is committed to integrating these arts into the classroom curriculum. Her favorite artists are Marc Chagall, Johannes Vermeer, and Josiah McElheny.
Sarah is a docent at the Phoenix Art Museum and helped lead the Art Masterpiece Program in her children’s school. Her favorite art changes from one minute to the next, but right this minute she loves Paul Klee, Lew Davis, and Rafino Tamayo.
Laura has a background in engineering and has been involved with numerous nonprofit organizations in Arizona, where she has provided website support and technical expertise. Her favorite artists are Frida Kahlo, Philip Curtis, David Hockney and James Turrell.
Premel is an artist who works in a wide variety of media. She loves photography, travel, and art of all kinds. She is constantly expanding her artistic horizons and enjoys using this interest in coming up with new and exciting projects for our Art Odyssey Arizona students. Her favorite artists are Anish Kapoor, Claude Monet, and Vasily Kandinsky.
